The Best Lawyers in America has selected Brousseau Naftis & Massingill attorney Elayna Naftis Erick for inclusion on its 2021 list for her work in family law.
Prior to her Best Lawyers recognition, Elayna was named a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers, a designation that recognizes attorneys under age 40 or who have been in practice less than 10 years. The honor is based on a general survey of peers, a review of credentials and criteria evaluation. Less than 2.5% of the lawyers in a given state are named to the Rising Stars list.
Apart from her work in family law – as well as business litigation, and wills, trusts, estates and probate – Elayna is an active member of her community. A lifelong Dallas-area resident, Elayna serves on The Lamplighter School Parents’ Association board, as well as the Annual Fund Committee. She previously served as a member of the Alumnae Board for The Hockaday School, and as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Following her undergraduate years in New York at Vassar, Elayna returned to Texas to earn her JD at Baylor University and her MLA at Southern Methodist University.
Inclusion on the Best Lawyers list begins with a nominations process, where attorneys are selected for consideration by their peers. Then, attorneys recognized on the current list provide feedback on the nominated roster. Following an analysis of feedback and a confirmation of eligibility, the selected attorneys are honored with the Best Lawyers recognition.
