We are pleased to welcome Arianna Smith back to the firm as senior counsel.

“We’ve worked with Arianna in the past, so we were thrilled when she accepted our offer to join us again,” said shareholder Matthew Naftis. “She brings a unique skillset as a lawyer that will particularly benefit our clients as they navigate their business and family matters.”
In one memorable case, she represented a client who, because the Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board denied him the ability to appeal the revocation of his Texas appraiser license, lost his livelihood of more than twenty years. Arianna’s creative legal argument prompted the Board to grant the appeal and ultimately reinstate the license – thereby allowing the client to once again make a living in his chosen field.
According to Arianna, there’s no such thing as a “small” legal matter – because what might seem routine to an attorney can be anxiety-inducing for someone whose career, finances, or family’s well-being are on the line.
Apart from her work with the firm, Arianna lends her expertise to the Texas Civil Rights Project as a pro bono member of the attorney task force on voting rights, as well as advocating for disability rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Arianna earned her law degree from Baylor Law School in 2015, where she was an Order of Barristers member, and her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of North Texas in 2012. She is a member of the Annette Stewart American Inn of Court.
